The Families

We were living in Tofield and couldn’t keep up with the rent which lead to us being homeless for a weekend. We moved to Camrose and lived in low income and were renting. We wanted something better, something we could call our own and really feel like a home.
With four children we would have to have at least a three bedroom house. Habitat gave us the next step up, from homeless to owning our own home in four years.
Habitat has not only helped us get a home, they have been so understanding and pushing us to be more financially responsible as well. The credit courses we took with them opened our eyes to how much money we had coming in, how much debt we had and how much we were spending on frivolous things. We continue to make future budgets for ourselves and will soon be debt free.
